Step 1:
Click OEM CAR INFO on PEMP home page to enter the OEM system, check whether the OEM system can be displayed normally.
A: If the OEM system displays anomalies, refer to the documentation in the Documentation list on how to handle abnormal OEM system displays.
B: If the OEM system can be displayed normally, please click Multimedia-External Devices, and then select Multimedia Mode as AUX front.
Step 2:
Check if the volume is too low, use the screen to play music and use the volume control knob to drastically adjust the volume to increase the volume.
Step 3:
Go to Settings-Audio-Volume and turn the volume up.
Step 4:
Connect one end of the supplied AUX cable to the AUDIO OUT port on the IOS harness; The other end connects to the car's AUX IN (usually located at the armrest box).
Step 5:
Connect the A/B cable plugs to each other.
Step 6:
Some cars have fiber optic cable on OEM ISO harness, if your OEM ISO harness has fiber optic cable, please transfer it to PEMP ISO harness.
Step 7:
Check the ISO harness plugs and re-unplug and re-insert the plugs.
Step 8:
Check the power cable and LVDS cable on the back of the screen and unplug and re-plug them.

2012 BMW 328i
Installed a new PEMP model PP- 9213. Everything works except for no audio while trying to use Apple CarPlay. The display and functions while using CarPlay work fine. I have gone through all the troubleshooting tips, but still cannot get audio to play. As I navigate through the OEM settings, I get to the selection of choosing the Auxilary Front mode. Then, I try to turn the volume up, but cannot from neither the main volume knob on the original deck unit or the on screen cursor. I can click on the volume slider on the display, and the display turns red (I believe indicting the volume is muted), but I cannot slide the volume bar up at all. I have tried plugging in the PEMP supplied AUX cable from the iOS cable harness to the AUX IN jack in the armrest area. I’ve also tried a cable supplied by me that goes from the armrest AUC IN jack to the USB port just adjacent to the AUX IN port. Still no audio. There are no fiber optic cables associated with this vehicles electronics system, as far as I know. Plus, I’m getting good audio with the radio, cd player, satellite radio modes. I’ve checked and unplugged and replugged all the cables and harnesses between the main deck unit and the PEMP display screen. The settings on the PEMP system are:
