1.Problem Description

Question from a customer who purchased a PEMP Linux system in-vehicle display:

“Can I install a dashcam on the Linux display and connect it for use? Does the dashcam function support the Linux system?”

 2.Compatibility Conclusion

Answer: The PEMP dashcam cannot be installed and used on a Linux screen.

Our dedicated dashcam is designed exclusively for PEMP Android screen. It relies on the installed companion app to enable features such as real-time preview, video playback, and settings adjustment.

Linux screen do not support the installation of third-party applications, so they cannot run the companion software required by the dashcam. Without the support of this app, the dashcam cannot interact with or be controlled by the screen.
